Barbara Van Arnam is an artist who lives and works in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains east of Fresno, California. Working in two and three dimensional format, she employs oils, acrylics, inks, pigments, and a combination of found materials from nature to produce enigmatic work that speaks to the fragile nature of life while also addressing that tenacious strength which binds all living organisms in Nature.
An award winning artist, Van Arnam’s work has been exhibited in the Cedar City Art Museum, Utah, the Alexandria Art Museum, Louisiana, and the Fresno Art Museum, California, as well as in locations throughout the United States and Russia. The artist is a member of the co-operative Gallery 25 in Fresno, California, and has had thirteen paintings published by Papier-Mache Press to fully illustrate Full Moon; Reflections on Turning Fifty, by author Susan Carol Hauser.
